Came for the cold beer, Chicken Carlos (signature dish) and "open Mike". Wonderful time so far. Service is great! Thanks Cloe and chef Carlos.
The service was good but the food and decor/ ambience were disappointing. Carlos' signature chicken entree did not look or taste like anything that anyone would want to put their name on. The enchiladas were equally overpriced and underwhelming. We got a pizza to go figuring that was a safe bet. We were wrong. Went there thinking it would be a unique and historical building but found little effort was put into the decor. Seeing a photocopy in a document protector thumb tacked to the wall next to our table pretty much sums up how much thought and energy goes into the decor. If you go in there on a summer day be prepared to navigate numerous fans plugged in all over the place. Candles burning on a table beside billowing curtains is never a good idea either. Is this place even inspected for safety or access for disabled patrons?
Our AirBnB host Daniel recommended Skunk Hollow Tavern. It was beyond expectations the dining room was beautiful, the food was exceptional and our waitress Chloe was charming.
Every time we go to Vermont me and my wife eat here the place is amazing so much history one of the original taverns must go check it out the food and drinks are amazing
